Founders Chorus Mens BarberShop Harmony

Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 11, 1938.....

O.C. Cash and Rupert Hall bluffed their way thru an interview with a reporter for a local newspaper and began an odyssey of harmony that still rings today! The organization they started on the roof garden of the Tulsa Club that evening became the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. Now named the Barbershop Harmony Society, it is the largest all-male a cappella singing society in the world.

The Founders Chorus stands alone as the Founding Chapter of the BHS and is as active as ever. We invite you to come and share the fun and fellowship with gentlemen who love to sing and perform "The Old Songs". The Founders Chorus meets each Tuesday evening, 7:00 PM, at the John Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 2929 E. 31st Street in Tulsa.

Our mission is to provide the best possible environment and fun atmosphere for the continuous personal musical growth of our members while experiencing the joy of performing primarily four-part harmony in the barbershop style.
